I can’t disagree with the skeptics more! Kindergarteners can be taught how to use computers properly… if anything, IPads are much easier to use! I have noted marked improvement while working with several students one-on-one using my IPad for phonemic awareness and fluency. I am looking forward to using the IPad for other literacy skills and strategies too. I am eager to read any follow up reports about this districts pilot program.
This is an AMAZING interactive whiteboard resource! It is divided up into general sites, science, social studies, math, and language arts. It is as good as CLICK AND GO!!! Anyone with a Smartboard or Interactive Whiteboard should have this site bookmarked. Even those without will find many uses for the dozens of interactive websites. Students will thank you for finding these sites!!!!
Enjoy!

For all the students at BCS that have wanted to see me doing trapeze… Here you go! This was the Metallic Show at TSNY. My first trick is a layout with NO SAFETY LINES! My second trick is a double back flip. Trapeze is LOT’S of fun and I hope you get to try it sometime! Enjoy the video!!

“Good news for teachers looking to collaborate with their colleagues in other parts of the world. Skype has a new free service just for educators called Skype in the classroom, “a free global community created in response to, and in consultation with, the growing number of teachers” using the tool to help students learn.”
